Owen's leukemia treatment shows progress; breathing improves, successful surgery, swelling reduces.

Today marked a significant turning point in Owen's battle against B-cell leukemia. As we reflect on the day, we’re filled with a mix of emotions - relief, gratitude, and a renewed sense of hope. Owen's oxygen levels have dramatically improved following his initial steroid treatment, allowing him to remove the oxygen mask and freeing him from constant monitoring. It's a big step forward, and seeing him breathe easier has lifted a weight off my shoulders.

Surgery was on today's schedule, and Owen bravely underwent the procedure to have his PICC line inserted. The doctors also performed bone marrow and spinal fluid extractions. We held our breath until we heard that everything went smoothly. It was a relief, and during the procedure, Owen took advantage of the situation to catch up on some much-needed rest.

There's more good news regarding Owen's condition. His abdominal swelling has reduced, and the inflamed lymph nodes on his neck and head are nearly gone. It's a clear sign that he's responding well to the treatment. Although we're still at the early stages of this battle, these positive developments provide a glimmer of hope. We're aware of the challenges that lie ahead, but for now, we're holding onto this moment of progress and praying for more good news in the days to come.

We want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who's been with us on this journey. Your support and kind words mean everything to us.
